Yesterday, I met someone... & they very happily told me about how my field is a very high paying one!!! They told me about other dietitians who were taking good heavy amounts of their services 💥 which made them believe that it's a really nice profession but is it actually true? Is this actually a guarantee that I'll also be given good heavy amounts? 👀 I don't think so !! I think no field has scope yet every field has scope!!! Scope is made by a person on his own... Today is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day! Pet obesity is an increasing problem! In 2022 UK Pet Food research found that 77% of vets believe the prevalence of obesity has increased, which makes it more important than ever to watch your dog's weight.* When the majority of Veterinarians recommend and promote processed foods are we surprised? My answer is ‘No!’ Studies published in the British Medical Journal show processed foods can be as addictive as drugs. Want to find a better solution than putting medication in your cat's food or pilling them? Cat behavior consultant Misty Hampton provides two different ways in the following video. One is that of a Treat Sundae. For this technique, you need gelatin capsules, lick mats, and a variety of treats. The gel caps will cover the bitter taste, the lick mats will help the cat push the gel cap into a groove and therefore eat it easier, and the crunchy treats will prepare your cat for finding something chunky in the lickable puree. Another is that of a Treat Sandwich. For this technique, you need gelatin capsules, pill pockets, and a variety of treats. The technique involves a few steps. The first step is to practice without the gel cap. The second step is to add a crunchy treat. The last step is to practice with an empty gel cap. Although both techniques will take some time, they mean you don't risk turning your cat off food by hiding pills in their meals. They also mean that instead of having to chase your cat down to administer medication, you can allow your cat to be a cooperative part of the process. Misty also advises having lots of on water on hand. Dry pilling a cat can cause damage to your cat's esophagus.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, caffeine isn’t good for your gut. ☕️ 🥕 I’m guilty. I love coffee and so does my wife, family, friends, and colleagues. But I had to make the commitment of cutting out coffee in my diet for the sake of my stomach. Now I do have iced tea here and there, because I have it as a treat once or twice a month. But otherwise, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my gut and actually my energy levels have risen not depending on it every morning. Per Gonzalez et al: “Moreover, there is evidence from animal research showing that caffeine administration counteracts shifts in the ratio, Firmicutes/Bacteroides (the two largest phyla making up the gut micro biome), resulting from a western diet [45].” (Long-Term Coffee Consumption is Associated with Fecal Microbial Composition in Humans; May 2020) What’s clear? Food pantry access coupled with primary care is part of good medicine and health care.services. Access to healthful and affordable foods contributes to the food pantry users' health outcomes. Food insecurity has intersectional connection with other factors. So looking at the big picture is important to mitigating food insecurity. By the way, some schools have food pantry for students. As some students experience food insecurity. Stresses interfere with work and learning. 😩
