Great initiative with some clear productivity gains although it's not just a matter of replacing standard inspections with remote inspections. This is something that I implemented several years ago while establishing Consentium (NZ national BCA) using several different remote inspection platforms. The challenges are not just with the technology but extend to BCO capability, competency as well as usability of the platform and understanding how to implement it on site. All these challenges are able to be overcome but require due consideration.
We are looking for productivity gains everywhere, especially utilising existing technology. Here's an important example for the construction sector: https://lnkd.in/gZbtSfFV
