Well done Matt Van Epps, MPA and here’s to your father’s example of patriotism and service. As we all know too well, his cohort was not welcomed back appropriately. I recall vividly my step-dad sharing with me as we returned from an Honor Flight to DC that he was told to change into civilian clothes before arriving in SFO after his 2nd combat tour as a medic in Vietnam. The welcome he finally received when we landed this time in central IL was amazing and cathartic for him. Happy 4th of July to you and your family.

It's okay to tell your family and friends, "Sorry, that's not in my #budget."💰
At Ramsey, we encourage each other not to feel guilty for saying "no" now, so we can say "yes" more often later.

Walking by faith, not sight means fixing our eyes on what is eternal: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Cor. 4:18, NIV). I definitely love the #SuperNatural side of Texas, as a “OpenMinded” #PositiveEmpath it’s my nature to see smell hear look listen and feel the frequency the energy the vibration of a people place or thing. If I’m not in a environment that doesn’t feel balanced it’s a spiritual thing for me, I can’t help but want to balance out my space, be it mind body soul, home, community or even people. It’s not my way, I’m just a rescuer by nature. Because I see beauty in everything Good or Evil, Order or Chaos. Probably doesn’t seem normal to make sense but after what I’ve seen and done harmony, is the way. Yes that often means not being understood. Because my intention is always from my heart & soul. Texans are known for their fierce independence, “Don’t Mess with Texas.” The spiritual meaning of Texas celebrates these qualities and reminds us that we can overcome Texas has a long history of #religiousfreedom and tolerance, Texas has a deep connection to #NativeAmerican traditions. Texas was home to several indigenous tribes, These tribes had their #spiritualbeliefs Texas represents #strength, #resilience, and #independence, and is often associated with the story of #DavidversusGoliath. The word Texas is rich in symbolism. The letter “#T” stands for the cross, a symbol of sacrifice and redemption. The “#e” represents the symbol of infinity, showing that the state’s possibilities are endless. The “#x” represents a #crucifixion, symbolizing sacrifice, and the “#as” represents abundance, #wealth, and #prosperity. “these symbols suggest that #Texas is a land of #sacrifice and #abundance.” #dmr#surfman374#family#lifehttps://lnkd.in/gsZtXDJd

The Collective Trauma experienced by the original occupants of this land should never be underestimated. It has been carried through generations. With compassion we should do everything we can to listen and help the healing. Yes is another step in our journey to become a nation that leads rather than follows. If we can put aside ideology, politics, secularism and just act with compassion perhaps we can find a way. It would be interesting to review the arguments put forward as No against those put forward for the Republic, Climate Change, LGBTIQA, and Big Australia. Can we also consider the actors who deliver these messages, are they truly the Voice of all generations and genders? Is this consensus? Do we craft the narritive and question to get a No Change result? Australia is a very young country who has never experienced the suffering, persucution or distruction of the people of Europe, South America, the Middle East, Africa or Asia. The people we ask to join us to create a nation. The only people in our country who have are the Original Custodians. We have a karmic debt to repay. Perhaps the question of whether we truly own anything? Perhaps if we can accept that we are born with no possessions, concepts, shoulds or woulds and that we experience life we can understand those grounded in nature, spirituality and just being. Perhaps the Dream Time can help us grow.
