I'm excited to share that I'm rounding off my 4th week at Reclamere—marking a full month in a new role within the cybersecurity field, a sector entirely new to me. Yes, it's been a whirlwind of learning and, admittedly, a bit nerve-wracking. I jumped on this opportunity with both feet, eager not to disappoint myself or the fantastic team I’ve joined. That pressure to perform? I think it’s something a lot of us feel, especially when we really care about the quality of our work.
But hey, growth happens outside of our comfort zones, right?
At Reclamere, every day is a chance to level up my skills—skills that are shaping me professionally and personally. I’m talking about everything from boosting my relationship-building game, getting savvy with identifying our ideal customers, to geeking out over sales analytics and CRM tools for those sweet, data-driven insights. It’s all about building that confidence and pushing my career to new heights.
Shoutouts are in order 📢: Huge thanks to Joseph Harford, Ph.D., CSDS and Angie Singer Keating, CISA, CISM, CRISC for betting on me and providing a nurturing environment for growth and continuous learning. I'm also incredibly grateful for my colleagues at Reclamere—your support, your patience with my endless questions, and the laughs we share have made me feel right at home from day one.
The quote in the photo from the great man himself, Ted Lasso, perfectly encapsulates how I am currently feeling. I'm thrilled for what's ahead and eager to see where this path leads.
To my LinkedIn network—have you ever embarked on a career journey that felt like a leap into the unknown? How did you navigate the early days, and what wisdom can you share? I’d love to hear your stories and advice!
Side note: If you haven't watched Ted Lasso, I highly recommend it. A little optimism and a good laugh never hurts 😊.
