Odisha is rich in minerals needed for battery manufacturing. • It has a 480km-long coastline to facilitate exports (the state has ports at Dhamra, Paradip and Gopalpur) to facilitate export-import of goods. ��� But more importantly it has a stable political leadership, say JSW officials. • The state government’s proactive approach towards industrial development supported by its incentive policy and contribution to sustainable growth, availability of talent, and policy certainty have played a major role in attracting JSW. • Odisha has a single window for investor facilitation and tracking. This has improved ease of doing business.

Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) is set to establish the world's largest steel plant in Angul, Odisha by 2030, as announced by esteemed chairman, Naveen Jindal. Steel-making facility to be expanded its capacity from the current 6-MTPA to an impressive 12-MTPA by next year. By 2030, ready to create the largest steel plant globally right here in Angul. During a recent meeting with Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, a delegation from the Indian Steel Association (ISA), led by Mr. Jindal, discussed the pivotal role Odisha plays in India's steel industry due to its rich mineral resources and strategic geographical location. Key points discussed included: Potential opportunities for further expansion in the steel industry. Manufacturing of special grade and green steel. Infrastructure growth and sustainable projects like slurry pipelines. JSP remains committed to Odisha’s industrial and economic development. C4V has formed the strategic partnership with Hindalco Industries Limited for development and supply of battery-grade aluminium foils, coated foils and structural components for li-ion cells. • Hindalco will provide up to 2,000-tonne of battery foil to C4V, over a 5-year period. • Hindalco recently announced the setting up of a 25,000 tonne battery foil manufacturing facility in Odisha. • C4V has already established partnerships in India with Omega Seiki Mobility and Simple Energy. It also plans to set-up manufacturing facility in the country for its advanced EV battery.
