Flag Dayis a holiday celebrated on June 14 in the United States. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The Flag Resolution stated That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation. Today we celebrate the symbol of our Freedom. #flagday#oldglory#starsandstripes#betsyross#parades#wholesaleinsurance#insuranceindustry#insurancebrokerage

Some people might read this and think Magic Johnson made a mistake. But I disagree. All decisions are guided by information— you behave in the now based on information gathered from the past. It's ignorant to fault yourself on reasonable decisions made based on your sincere interpretations of your present information.
However, what you can fault yourself for though is a lack of curiosity and determination to learn more. Although I think he made a solid decision based on what he knew, this was an opportunity for him to learn more.
What that means is that he could've researched "stocks" to find out what they were and how that works. Then, he could've sat down with business experts, Nike execs, etc. to discuss the viability of Nike's stock. Perhaps after that he may have still chosen to go another route but at least it would've been a more informed decision.
Curiosity is free and you are always responsible for your own level of curiosity. Don't just take other's words for it, know it yourself, learn it yourself. Explore. The world is filled with boundless information and endless perspectives so there's always opportunities to learn more and see things from a different perspective.
As a dedicated intellectual exercise I try to examine every scenario from as many perspectives as I can think of, especially the ones I like the least.

To Pursue v. To be Pursued
In lease negotiations, a “position” is a number or outcome around which one party rallies without much regard to the genuine interests of the other party, or their own for that matter. In its extreme, a position ends up at “take it, or leave it”.
On the other hand, “positioning” is the process whereby a tenant signals its value before negotiations start and adopts the role as the pursued (the prize to be won), not the pursuer.
