The semiconductor industry is projected to create 85,000 new technical jobs by 2030, but nearly 80% of them might remain unfilled. This shortage is exacerbated by immigration hurdles, as one-third of the industry's workforce is foreign-born. Although foreign-born workers are already studying in the US, current immigration laws make it difficult for them to stay. 🇺🇸 USA alert: A proposed rule seeks to expand the $4,000 or $4,500 9-11 Response fee to include H-1B and L-1 extension petitions filed by employers subject to the law, instead of only requiring the fee for their initial and change of employer petitions.
