Throwback to 2016 Brownfield projects, which involve modifications or expansions to existing facilities, often come with their own set of challenges and risks. The complexity of these activities increases the importance of clear and repeated communication of safety information. In projects like SCPX, where people from different countries are involved (Georgians/Russians/Turkish/Indians and more), language and cultural differences can pose challenges to effective communication. To overcome this challenge, we introduced the word "Safety Echoes" as a deliberate communication strategy to reinforce and emphasize critical Health and safety information. Safety Echoes involve the intentional repetition of critical safety information at various stages of the project. This repetition is crucial for reinforcing safety awareness and ensuring that important details are not overlooked, not missed or misunderstood. Safety Echoes serve as a universal language, ensuring that HSE information is consistently conveyed and understood by all team members, regardless of their native language or cultural background. Sometimes, brownfield projects may involve work in familiar environments, leading to a potential risk of complacency. So, regularly echoing safety information helps counteract this tendency, reminding workers of the ongoing importance of adhering to safety protocols, even in familiar surroundings. #SCPX #BechtelEnka #Enka #Bp #Safetyechoes #hse #brownfield

Improving #HSE Collaboration #EON SE – International HSE Manager Meeting in Regensburg EON´s international HSE Manager community met in Regensburg the last 1.5 days. Reflecting on our journey since the last meeting 6 months ago, it’s been really motivating to see the progress in terms of collaboration we have made in the meantime. This got visible already in the new meeting format. I was impressed by the different contributions coming from all the HSE managers and the open dialogue and feedbacks when exchanging on our current focus projects for this year. Spotlight this time was among other topics on the following HSE Topics: Incident Management project: We want to become faster, leaner, more digitalized and have a better communication around incident analysis & sharing learnings– coming from getting learnings in 6 months to 6 weeks in future.” The progress of the international project was shown and shared, feedback collected. Learning from incidents helps us to strengthen our safety practices to prevent similar incidents in the future. Safe and Fair Approach: We are developing a standardized process how to deal with deviations from our common Life Saving Rules in a safe and fair way, to learn from positive and negative incidents - this applies to employees and partner companies. A special thank you to the organization team around Finn Petersen and to the host Johannes Schmidmeier and Albert Zettl from #Bayernwerk for setting the scene and emphasizing how important our work is. Our HSE community needs a strong collaboration – communication, motivation and sharing knowledge will help us to further enhance the impact of our HSE work. I saw that in Regensburg. Let’s continue! #HSE #Collaboration #PsychologicalSafety
