What is Analyst Relations (AR)? I hear this question countless times when I introduce myself and tell people what I do! Unlike the US, analyst relations is not a very well-developed industry in Europe. Although many #technology companies do have team members based outside of the US, they tend to be smaller in size, and, with some exceptions, mainly situated in London. If you google “Analyst Relations”, the most common definition of the industry reads “Analyst relations is a corporate strategy, corporate communications, and marketing activity.” Yes, all these three in one! AR engages with industry analysts conducting market research within a specific industry to: 🔣 Size the market 💹 Evaluate trends 📈 Prepare forecasts Industry analysts work for independent research & analysis firms, and their advice and opinion is often used by companies to advise them on: 💻 Large technology investments ✍ Complex deals that can run into the hundreds of millions of 💶 , 💵 or 💷 🌎 Entering new market(s) 💻 Developing new product(s) 🚅 Entering a new industry   It is AR professionals’ job to ensure analysts receive regular updates on the company’s strategy, vision, value proposition, offering, and product developments.   Along with delivering information to the analysts, technology vendors, service providers, and buyers also use analysts to understand the latest market trends; validate their messaging, strategy, and value proposition; understand in what products and services they should be looking to invest and develop. #europe #corporatestrategy #corporatecommunications #marketing #analystrelations #business #technology #strategy #vision #marketresearch #analysts
