Recently, Frost hosted the 2024 Forecast Conference Outlook for the U.S. and Texas, featuring Dr. Ray Perryman who we’ve proudly partnered with for over four decades. Dr. Perryman’s insights on the #Dallas area are more crucial than ever for local business owners as they look to lead successful businesses in this expanding economy. In the spirit of #SmallBusinessMonth, I’d like to share a few takeaways from the presentation: 📈 The Dallas-Plano-Irving area’s dynamic and diverse economy is outpacing US growth rates, and Texas is setting records in job numbers, employment and labor force size. ⛽️ Increased activity in oil and natural gas, a major export sector, has benefited Texas, but growth has been broad-based across most industries. 🏢 Texas has attracted more major corporate locations and expansions than any other state for over a decade and has seen significant population growth, including highly skilled workers. While Texas faces challenges from national trends like #inflation, higher #interestrates, and talent shortages, we still have a positive outlook. I’m incredibly proud of what our Dallas businesses and communities have accomplished so far, and I eagerly anticipate our continued success, growth, and community investment over the next years!

President & CEO of CBIA, Connecticut’s largest business organization. Working with affiliates CONNSTEP and ReadyCT to build a thriving business climate for the benefit of all residents.
Connecticut's fiscal health is the best it's been in decades. And as CBIA's annual business survey—which we released yesterday with Marcum LLP—shows, there's growing frustration among business leaders that policymakers are not doing enough to leverage that and address the main factors undermining our economy: the labor shortage, the state's high cost of living, and the high cost of doing business. #cteconomy #workforce #workforcesolutions #affordability #jobs #smallbusinesses #transformct
