US Government Wins Right to Intellectual Property from Defense Contractors: A New Global Paradigm in the A&D Industry? 🌍 The unprecedented decision by the US government to obtain intellectual property rights from Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and the B-21 Raider bomber is sending shockwaves across the international Aerospace and Defense (A&D) community. On one hand, this ruling may invigorate global innovation and competition, inspiring companies to explore new technologies and methodologies 🚀. The doors may open to a world where collaboration, creativity, and progress thrive. On the other hand, there are substantial concerns. Could this decision discourage investment in future projects? Companies may become reluctant to invest heavily upfront if there's a possibility they could lose rights to provide Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) on the back end of a program 🛠️. This could stifle innovation rather than foster it, creating a new set of challenges for the A&D industry. Furthermore, how might this affect the US government's relationship with other nations and the global market dynamics? It's a complex situation with far-reaching implications. The global landscape of the A&D industry stands at a crossroads, with potential for both immense growth and significant challenges. It's a delicate balance that demands careful navigation. What are your thoughts on this critical issue? How do you envision the global impact? Share your insights and perspectives 🗨️. #AerospaceAndDefense #IntellectualPropertyRights #Innovation #GlobalImpact #DefenseContractors #USGovernment #LockheedMartin #NorthropGrumman #InvestmentChallenges #MaintenanceRepairOverhaul #Technology #GlobalIndustryTrends Image by VGP

Sadly, these 2021 defense CEO salaries are not an April Fool's joke! 😱 Lockheed Martin, James Taiclet: $18.1M Boeing, David Calhourn: $21.2M Raytheon, Gregory Hayes: $21.8M General Dynamics, Phebe Novakovic: $23.5M Northrop Grumman, Kathy Warden: $19.9M MFE's CEO salary: This is the true joke. Estimate negative $120k for unpaid labor gathering requirements, working with and paying developers, testing product, and attempting to practically give away our aircraft maintenance software to the US Air Force to improve our defense capabilities. Plus, a case of military grade tinnitus from 14 years on the job. To use Lockheed Martin's slogan, which company seems to actually care about who they're working for? https://lnkd.in/dcbheRKi visit https://mfe.llc to learn more about our efficient capabilities, including the Flightline Aircraft Status Tool (FAST), which reduces cancelled flights due to unplanned maintenance. #USAF #AFWERX #ARCWERX #DIU #DAF #DTO #

FROM THE INTERSECTION: 🔥THIS IS A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY‼️ “Finally, civilian defense contractors need more skin in the game. Shipyards repeatedly bemoan an inadequate skilled workforce. But they need to invest more into building that workforce. One way to do that is to limit or divert a company’s stock buybacks. Instead of investing in the workforce or capital improvements, many companies defer those investments and instead buy back their own stock. Such buybacks typically reward senior managers, whose compensation packages are tied to esoteric stock-related metrics. A creative way to align the national needs and personal goals is to put 80 percent of all stock repurchases into a “public shipbuilding trust.” As the stock goes up, the value of the trust goes up, and proceeds from it can be reinvested in building more ships.” 🔥ALL 5 RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GOOD; HOPEFULLY OUR NAVY IMPLEMENTS THEM NOW

Investing in Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) represents a strategic opportunity for those seeking a robust, resilient addition to their portfolio. As a global leader in defense, aerospace, and security, Lockheed Martin's extensive contract relationships with the U.S. government ensure a steady stream of revenue and long-term growth potential. With a diversified portfolio that includes advanced technology systems, cybersecurity solutions, and space exploration initiatives, Lockheed Martin is well-positioned to capitalize on increasing global security needs and the continuous modernization of defense capabilities. Lockheed Martin's defense and military engagements are particularly noteworthy. The company is a primary contractor for some of the U.S. Department of Defense’s most critical projects, including the F-35 Lightning II, Aegis Combat System, and various missile defense systems. These programs not only highlight Lockheed Martin's cutting-edge technological prowess but also underscore its pivotal role in national security. As geopolitical tensions rise, the demand for sophisticated defense solutions is likely to grow, making Lockheed Martin a compelling choice for investors seeking stability and growth in the defense sector. I am definitely biased when it comes to Lockheed as they have such a rich history of innovation and we haven’t even touched on their legendary Skunkworks division who has cooked some the most mind bending engineering creations which have shaped the world we live in.

Aerial refueling, one of the US military’s most important advantages, enables the US to dynamically project power across the globe. However, the advanced age of America’s tanker inventory and the growing strength of the People’s Republic of China place this advantage at risk. Hudson's Tim Walton explores the role of the Air Force and congressional leadership and examines future opportunities to maintain America's advantage with Jeremiah Gertler, Jon Ludwigson, and Lt. Gen. Thomas Sharpy. https://lnkd.in/gnEkNknt

My wife and I (both active duty retired Air Traffic Controllers) laid in bed last night having a poke and laugh at this, after a good friend who’s still on active duty messaged me, and asked if I was coming back in. (With 😍🙏🏻 emojis included). Who does the Air Force really expect to return to service in the SNCO tier? The men or women who did their 20(+) years of service, who watched friends be separated for not taking the vaccine, who no longer stress about PT tests and the impact on their career, the ones who were passed over for promotion, “because their records weren’t strong enough”, despite being told they’re the best in the squadron? This list of problems plaguing continued service goes on and on, with things like sexual assaults going unpunished within the service branches. Not to mention the housing issues, continued lack of focus on the mission and readiness. All while asking them to stop their retirement pay (passive income) and probably their VA benefits. Is JoAnne (Jo) Bass aware that her career field managers were letting folks voluntarily separate early in jobs that now have low retention? That cutting Selective-Retention Bonuses and Special Duty Pay over the last decade, is how we got here (for ATC specifically) in the first place. Your dedicated SNCO’s who truly cared about people, have been saying this day was coming for a long time. I hate to see the Air Force that I love going through this, but it would take a lot more guarantees and incentives from the Top, to get me to uproot my family AGAIN, and return to service. I think they need to be looking at “Stop Lossing” folks to triage the bleeding. https://lnkd.in/g9zmsDgf.
