Areas of growth driving demand are #petrochemicals and residential, particularly in #Asia (which accounts for around half the gain over the past decade). #China is the world’s largest LPG market – more than doubling over the past decade to account for around a fifth of global use. The attached chart shows oil consumption by region for last year. This helps you understand which region could be most crucial for Middle East crude suppliers. It's a cliche that Asia is the key and growing market for oil suppliers. However, despite the ongoing strong shift towards renewables in North America and Europe, both regions still remain a big market for oil with a share of around 24% and 15% respectively in world's oil consumption. Although crude production in North America has grown over recent years, Europe still relies heavily on imports and remains a key market for many suppliers/companies.
