SBTN is a global coalition of environmental experts and NGOs that leverages scientific solutions to reduce corporate environmental impacts and restore nature, in alignment with rigorous scientific objectives. To bridge this gap, Ecotone has undertaken its own analyses to enrich the global database with vital information. Part of the work package and sustainable financing mechanism of the Mindoro Biodiversity Corridor Project is the carbon accounting, verification and certification leading to carbon credit. The DENR Administrative Order No. 2021-43 Guidelines provides for the establishment of the carbon accounting, verification, and certification system (CAVCS) for forest carbon projects. The Order encourages supporting investments in activities that sequester carbon dioxide and avoid emissions from defrostation and forest degradation.
