It’s Reserves Day in the UK today - an opportunity to celebrate amazing individuals who give up their spare time to make a contribution to the nation’s defence. GLAS would like to introduce you to our own Reservist, Lieutenant Tom Vanson. Tom is based at HMS President in London and specialises in Information Warfare. When he’s at his job with us, he is a Senior Transaction Manager based in our London headquarters. Tom said, “I joined the Royal Navy Reserves back in July 2014 seeking adventure and to give something back. During this time I’ve served on the frigate HMS Richmond as well as spending time training in Gibraltar and more recently working at the Ministry of Defence in London.” To Tom and all Reservists, thank you for your dedication and service. We were lucky to be joined by so many of our global team and industry peers in Paris last week to celebrate the completion of our acquisition of Pristine. Held in the beautiful Maison de l'Amérique Latine, we formally welcomed Pristine to the global GLAS community, and marked the beginning of a new chapter of expanded capabilities for our clients. Together, GLAS and Pristine are now poised to provide even greater value to our joint customer base, underpinned by award winning service and a wealth of expertise, all under one roof. GLAS is pleased to have been involved with the successful completion of the EUR750m syndicated financing for Vantage Data Centers. GLAS acted as Facility Agent and Security Agent on the transaction involving 18 lenders around the world, with the successful outcome facilitating the needs of the company’s fourteen data centers in the UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Republic of Ireland and South Africa. The transaction is the third collaboration between GLAS Germany and VDC, and is another example of GLAS’ expertise in the rapidly growing data center market.
