📢 Exciting Research Announcement! 🎉
📚 My First Published Co-Author Paper: "Obesity-induced dysregulation of skin-resident PPARg+ Treg cells promotes IL-17A-mediated psoriatic inflammation" 📚
Dear linkedln colleges,
I am thrilled to share with you my latest milestone in scientific research! 🚀 Our co-authored paper, titled "Obesity-induced dysregulation of skin-resident PPARg+ Treg cells promotes IL-17A-mediated psoriatic inflammation," has been recently published in the Immunity journal.
🔍 What's the Paper About? Inflammatory skin diseases, especially psoriasis, have long been linked to obesity as a significant risk factor. In our study, we delve into the intricate mechanisms behind this association. Our research highlights how diet-induced obesity disrupts a unique subset of PPARg+ Tregs in the skin, triggered by fatty-acid-induced lipotoxicity. This disruption leads to the loss of control over IL-17A+ gd T cell-mediated inflammation, resulting in the exacerbation of psoriatic conditions.
🌟 Why is this Important? Understanding the role of skin-resident PPARg+ Treg cells in psoriatic inflammation sheds new light on potential therapeutic targets. Our findings offer valuable insights into the pathogenesis of psoriasis, and they hold the promise of guiding the development of more effective treatments, particularly for patients dealing with obesity-related complications.
