What’s your idea of the perfect interview feedback turnaround? Of course clients diaries can change, or have other priorities but I believe a few days at maximum is essential to keeping the process moving and keeping the candidate engaged. Your team is fully staffed and/or on a hiring freeze. This is an opportunity to innovate your interview process. Recognize and admit where the bottlenecks are. How can you streamline efficiency, reduce latency, and enhance decision-making? One way is to create a detailed flowchart for each step, from résumé to start date. Create a call to action for every stage in the interview journey. "If the outcome of the interview is a YES, the next step with the candidate is ____. If it's a NO, we do ____. If it's a MAYBE, we do ____." Then have all the stakeholders involved acknowledge what each will be responsible for. Hold everyone accountable so nobody is ever 'waiting for feedback' from a fellow decision maker. #hiringstrategies #strategicplanning #interviewing
