As you know, we are poets and scientists at Xaira. But did you know we are also athletes? In today's installment, check out Justas Dauparas, PhD as he shows us how it's done. What a shot!
Our list of talents continues to expand as we grow our team. We invite all poet-athlete-scientists-multi-hyphenates to check out our open roles and join the Xaira Nation!

How exciting to see our product being used by hundreds of students after 9 months of hard work! 😍 🚀
The biggest thank you goes to Fond za inovacije Crne Gore for their support, which made it possible for our innovation and product to see the light of day! 🙌 And a special shoutout goes to our partner, the Faculty of Economics Podgorica, who, as one of the oldest educational institutions in #Montenegro, helped us refine our solution for bigger systems and the way new generations learn. 🎓 Especially the professors and faculty management who have been a tremendous help throughout the entire process: Mijat Jocović, Tamara Backovic, Sunčica Vuković, Jovan Djuraskovic, Nemanja Popović, Biljana Rondovic and Jasmina Ćetković.
Check out all the details in the video - https://lnkd.in/dehTG4ux. Don't hesitate to schedule a demo meeting with our team! 📅

The ZUNO Omnia platform is here! 🥳🚀
With the support of Fund of Innovations of Montenegro (Fond za inovacije Crne Gore), we're proud to introduce ZUNO Omnia, our groundbreaking gamified learning platform. The journey to this moment has been a labor of love, with countless hours dedicated to making our product not just user-friendly, but also incredibly fun to learn with. 🧩✨
This collaboration has given birth to a learning solution that's nothing short of extraordinary, and we are pleased to be launching it first for the Faculty of Economics Podgorica, who will be using Omnia through the app ''My Economics''. 🙌

Life Strategies, what does it mean, what are its applications, does it benefit or impact the life of a common man..? Scientific theories and principles can be purely academic with their influence limited to the libraries and intellectual discussions...

* Research alert * .....and Ola from Spain!
... where #COEMinerals researcher, materials engineer Regina Medeiros is attending the 13th International Colloids Conference (#COLL2024).
We are delighted to share Regina's new research paper: "Selective aggregation of fine copper minerals using charged polyacrylamides", open access, in Elsevier Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects: https://lnkd.in/gjn_3ukB
Congratulations to all authors, including Dr Casey Thomas and Prof. George Franks
Research explainer:
#Copper minerals are essential for securing the future supply of renewable energy and cleaner technologies, with previous studies showing an increasing crescent copper demand of up to 350% by 2050.
The proposed flocculation approach has the potential of improving the collection of the fine copper particles normally lost in industrial separation processes, which can count for up to 20% of total copper in the ore. Additionally, it offers an alternative to #reprocessing existing mineral waste, reducing the need for additional extraction, and potentially saving water and energy use in mineral beneficiation (separation).
The research investigates how these polymers interact with the mineral surfaces, their adsorption mechanisms and flocculation capabilities, including in-situ measurement of the size and structure of the aggregates. The research shows important advances about what types of commercially inexpensive reagents can be used for flocculation, and how they can be applied to improve the recovery of valuable copper fine particles. This work should be of interest to readers in the areas of particle aggregation, polymer adsorption, in-situ particle image characterisation, and mineral processing.
