It's hard for us all to find the time to step away, especially when in a busy role, often with conflicting demands and deadlines. However, the value of doing so often heavily outweighs the full inbox and 'to do' list that you return to. Attending Recruitment Agency Expo yesterday. It was great to see friends of old Rob Hill and Graham Peck (even from a distance), alongside finally meeting Steve Jacobs (well, we have only been connected since 2016...) I sat in seminars led by Greg Savage (yes that's me in the pink front row 🙌 ) and Nick Thomson where I felt reassured, that my current priorities are the right ones. Which sometimes, we do still need to hear.... Alongside sessions with Clair Bush and then Jo Major (She/her), Lucy Morgan, Amy Weidner, Chikere Igbokwe (She/Her), Matt Ashby-Cooper and Miles Lloyd - what a panel that was... Sometimes we need to step away from our 'day job' to have our eyes opened up that little bit more. My takeaway was that we need to be "comfortable with discomfort and be prepared to have those challenging conversations". It brought back to me, the influence that we can and need to have within the recruitment industry for driving positive change. "The experience of the recruitment industry, is not the same for everybody...." #recexpo #recruitment #networking #lifelonglearning #change

VP of Customer Advocacy at PeoplePath, leveraging my community management/strategy expertise to help clients build strong relationships with their former employees. + Adjunct Professor, and Remote Work Meetup Organizer
I'm hosting a webinar next week for insights into corporate alumni communities. - What are companies doing in #recruitment, #employeeexperience, and #careertransition / #offboarding? - What kind of engagement can alumni leaders expect to see in these communities? - What kind of #ROI is seen in these programs? Come for the knowledge, and stay for the comedic styles between me and Rebecca Paluch. #alumnirelations #communitymanagement
