NFTs have the ability to create a community. Consider this from the perspective of charity and fundraising. NFTs can be used for charitable purposes and fundraising efforts. How would this work? I believe that by creating and auctioning NFT-based artwork or collectibles, communities can come together to support a common cause. Establishing this collaborative approach can generate awareness, raise funds, and unite individuals with shared philanthropic goals. #Philanthropy #NFT #charity #awareness

#Fundraising at the Performing Arts! "Fundraising goals metrics must embrace the full complexities of philanthropy and non-profit activities to enrich societies and detach itself from plutocracy antiquate models of governance. A fundamental change to secure non-profits social and economic sustainability in the current world. As a server of philanthropy, fundraising is one of the channels where people can contribute with money to a broader good. In essence, it contrasts with other ways of philanthropic actions, such as volunteerism or in-kind donations, because fundraising is focused primarily on money (or at least based on the currently available literature). However, despite its principal goals and analysis criteria are based on monetary aspects and how to get them (as the term etymology of the word states Fundraising: raising of funds), fundraising procedures are much more complex than simple money-focused strategies. They require a full understanding of the philanthropy complexities and how they play a role in the non-profit sector." Dr. Barbosa-Vásquez. You can see more on our website: www.PerformingArtsLab.com

At Charityvest, we believe in the strength of collaborative giving. Last August, we officially announced Community Funds, a groundbreaking feature empowering anyone to create a fund and pool charitable capital for impactful grants to charities. Since then, we've witnessed Community Funds surpass $600k in contributions, with over 2/3 of those funds now granted to charities! Now, we're opening the floor and extending an invitation to anyone interested in leading (or contributing to) a Community Fund. Request to lead a fund today or start giving right in your Charityvest dashboard. Here are some types of Community Funds. ⬇️ 1. Grantmaking organizations or leaders who amplify their philanthropic expertise behind a particular cause, issue, methodology, geography, or philosophy. Here are some examples on Charityvest: ➡️ Cause-focused: CareWorks Fund (Paurvi B. and Renea B.) ➡️ Approach-focused: MatchNice (Pooya Pourak) 2. Workplaces who are mobilizing their employees and other stakeholders in a public-facing giving fund. Some examples are: ➡️ Employee giving programs: vRad (Virtual Radiologic) & Sunset Social ➡️ Company giving initiatives: 5DayDeal 3. Social groups, giving together. Some examples are: ➡️ Values-based giving: Qaleel Fund (Safeer Mohiuddin and Adam Milbes) & Christian Campaign for Effective Charity (Effective Altruism for Christians) ➡️ Special events: birthdays, memorials, fantasy football leagues, and other occasions Are you interested in learning more or starting a fund? Only 10% of Canadians are doing… …what do you think it is? I won’t keep you in suspense. The answer is: naming a #charity in their #will. Why is it such a low percentage? I think it’s partly because people don’t know it’s an option. And, that they can do it without taking anything away from their family. Part of our #vision is: To raise $25-million in philanthropic donations by December 31, 2028, by educating and challenging our clients and partners. We’re going to bump up that 10%. I am delighted to share that CooperVision and CooperVoice – Employee Forum have completed a two-year partnership and fundraising effort for Southampton Hospitals Charity – Southampton Children Hospital. With ALL our colleagues' generous support from Delta Park, MountPark, and Brunel Way, we raised an impressive £30,000 throughout many the series of events. The team's dedication to making a difference in the lives of children and their families was recently celebrated in a discreet manner. Representatives from CooperVoice and the Distribution & Packaging Senior Managers Andrew Hinton and Gary Lonsdale presented the cheque to Beth Head of Charity Operations. This success is a testament to the power of collective action to create positive change and inspire others to join in the spirit of giving. I am proud to be a part of this community of caring individuals who strive to make a difference in the world. Thank you all for the support and let's continue to work together towards achieving a positive outcome in our communities. #CooperVision #CooperVoice #OneCooper #SouthamptonHospitalsCharity #Fundraising #PositiveChange #Community #MakingADifference #SouthamptonChildrensHospital

𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐗 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭🎁. Cool Designs Ltd is supporting the Northumberland Football League's Christmas Toy Appeal. Every year, 50,000+ children in the northeast region wake up without a present at Xmas; for many, this figure is shocking, but this is the reality of how things are. Unfortunately, this is the normality for many to wake up on Christmas morning without a present. Last year, thanks to a lot of generosity, they raised almost £6000 in toy and cash donations. Again, the goal is for Cool Designs to help back this project and do what they can to support it. This collection raises funds to get new toy donations to help ensure kids wake up to a present this Christmas. Every single penny and every toy/gift makes a huge difference. 👉https://lnkd.in/e6Rdfgza #Newcastle #NewcastleBusiness #NUFC #NorthEast #NorthEastBusiness #ToyDonations #Fundraising #GiftAGift

At FRRR, a big part of what we do is via our grant programs. But we also provide support to organisations in remote, rural and regional Australia in other ways too. One such mechanism is our Fundraising Accounts, which allow NFPs that have approved projects to utilise our DGR status. This essentially means that donors can make a tax deductible donation towards their organisation or project. This is done through two different FRRR accounts: 👉 Not-for-Profit Fundraising Accounts 👉 Community Foundation Accounts Find out more about whether your community group or project might be able to partner with us in this way. https://lnkd.in/ebKg3ncm #Community #Grants #Philanthropy #Fundraising #NFPfundraising #RuralAus

Why fundraising through challenge events like the London Marathon is so important for charities I get it: when you’re forever being asked to sponsor someone for a challenge to raise money for their chosen charity, it can become tiresome, especially when you might be wondering ‘what difference will my donation really make?’ Well, the specifics of whichever charity you’re giving to aside, I’m here to explain one overarching reason that your contribution DOES make a difference, whoever you’re donating to. In the world of charity fundraising, we operate on two planes: restricted income (‘UI’) and unrestricted income (‘RI’). Often, a substantial proportion of funds raised are RI: the organisation may have been specifically contracted to deliver a particular service with set objectives and performance targets, or a philanthropic donation may have been given on the condition that the money be spent on a particular project or service. Whilst RI is crucial (it forms the bulk of income for many charities; we couldn’t operate without it!), UI – which is rarer – can be used in the way the charity sees fit to deliver maximum impact, and is thus seen as gold in the world of fundraising. For an organisation like The Children’s Society, UI will be vital in achieving our ambitious goal to overturn the damaging decline in children & young people’s wellbeing by 2030. UI allows the charity to invest in the work we know will have the biggest impact, most notably growing our pioneering offer of open-access wellbeing hubs for young people. It takes a whole range of income streams to make a charity run well, but without UI we simply cannot do our best work. The donations you make to anybody’s fundraising pages contribute directly to that, so you can be assured your money will make a splash, even if it does just feel like a drop in the ocean. In case you didn’t know, I’m taking on a whole range of endurance challenges this year to raise money for The Children’s Society – and the London Marathon is just the start! Please donate if you can, and share this post so more people get to know the impact they make by sponsoring friends, family and colleagues for charity events! https://lnkd.in/eSn_nqJ9 #charity #fundraising #LM24 #LondonMarathon

Any charity, right now, could start planning a major appeal which would raise a lot of money and transform your core fundraising. It doesn’t require any sort of ‘capital expenditure’. What is required is an organising idea. The NSPCC’s Centenary Appeal was a record at its time, and the single organising idea was simply that we were 100 years old. Nothing more. Why would any-one give because we were 100 years old? But they did. In record numbers. A fluke? Our 200 Branches were independent ‘Societies for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’ until 1953. A great many organised their own Centenary Appeals to mark their own founding. They were very successful. Yes, if you have a need for capital organise a capital appeal. Rebuilding the church spire is a powerful reason for local people to give. But, if you don’t, focus on the most powerful organising idea that you can. At least consider a major appeal.
