1 cent nugget - The Old and the New I had the opportunity to attend a Malay dance troupe on Saturday celebrating their 20th anniversary. It was a very entertaining show with the choreography centered mainly around how they started and who they are now. The brilliant part was that they were able to use other races song and adapt it using the traditional Malay dance moves. In my mind, it was really fit for international performance mainly the keeping to the traditional moves and presentation format despite having other races costumes. I thoroughly enjoyed it. In one of the excerpt from the founders, she mentioned that the dance troup started with no fan, no aircon and no venue. They trained underneath a light bulb near the void deck of the public housing. Such humble beginning to more than 20 dancers. The important tips for me reflected during the show was that : 🔶️ Everything starts from a humble beginning. Not every start up starts off as big as Tesla or Microsoft or Google. ➡️ Ask these founders or read about them. They started from their parents homes too. No shame about it. 🔶️ Everything today starts from yesterday. ➡️ If we don't put in effort today, we won't be able to see our fruits of tomorrow. 🔶️ Keep our traditions and beliefs alive together with our culture. ➡️ Because this is what Defines us. Everyone's journey doesn't follow the same pattern or pace or trajectory. It is a good motivation to look at others achievements, as a useful source of encouragement but never should it stir envy or desolation. Envy and desolation leads to strive and in worse case scenarios, trauma, depression and suicidal or thoughts of vice. Hey! you don't need that. A positive mindset and absolute believe in oneself to cut-through no matter what, is a strong recommendation. Keep showing up, keep putting in the work and effort, learn a new skill or upgrade old ones to modern standards. seek mentorships, build useful relations and by all means trust that process. Take opportunities, take calculated risks (there has never been the perfect time). Prepare to fail, and be ready to succeed. The top successfully people know they'll fail, but they try nonetheless. Your Mental health on this journey is crucial, keep it clean always and let's celebrate at the top together when we finally get there. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmonth

I see consistency and 'never-giving-up' playing out here. It doesn't really matter when you started out, if you keep at it and not give up anytime on the line, you will surely get your desired success result. It's just a matter of time. Do not give up. Always stay true to yourself and invest dedication to your future. Do not be deterred by other people's achievements and growth. Focus on yourself. Focus on building yourself! To your success⭐
