"I am delighted to announce the publication of my research paper, 'Correlation between hemoglobin levels of mothers and children aged less than two years attending the immunization clinics in Puducherry: a cross-sectional analytical study' in the International Journal of Community Medicine & Public Health (IJCMPH). Delving into the intriguing connection between maternal and childhood anemia while also examining anemia's household co-occurrence. This marks a significant milestone in my academic journey. I have immense gratitude to my outstanding co-authors for their support throughout the study period. Cash incentives can play a crucial role in supporting women and children during vulnerable stages of maternity, especially in poverty-stricken rural communities in Nigeria. Here are some ways cash incentives can help: 1. *Transportation*: Cash incentives can help women cover transportation costs to reach healthcare facilities, reducing barriers to access. 2. *Healthcare expenses*: Cash incentives can assist with out-of-pocket expenses for prenatal care, delivery, and postnatal services. 3. *Nutrition and essentials*: Cash incentives can support purchases of nutritious food, baby supplies, and other essentials for mother and child. 4. *Lost income replacement*: Cash incentives can compensate women for income lost during pregnancy and childbirth, reducing financial stress. 5. *Incentivizing healthy behaviors*: Cash incentives can encourage women to prioritize healthy behaviors, such as attending antenatal care appointments and adhering to vaccination schedules. 6. *Empowerment*: Cash incentives can empower women to make informed decisions about their healthcare and well-being. 7. *Reducing poverty*: Cash incentives can help alleviate poverty, a critical factor in poor maternal and child health outcomes in rural Nigeria. By providing cash incentives, you can help address some of the most significant barriers to maternal and child health in rural Nigeria, ultimately improving health outcomes and well-being for women and their children.
How can cash incentives help women and their children thrive during the most vulnerable stages of maternity? As this Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance article explains, since 2013, the Barasa Care program has been providing health education and conditional cash transfers to encourage pregnant women in Kenya's Kakamega County to get antenatal care, deliver in health facilities, and vaccinate their babies against deadly diseases.

Some ideas about conducting clinical Audits in Basic Health units or rural health centre primary care level 1) Antenatal Care Services: Evaluate the quality of antenatal care services provided to pregnant women, including adherence to antenatal care guidelines, availability of essential tests and screenings, and timely referrals for high-risk pregnancies. 2)Immunization Coverage: Assess the coverage and timeliness of routine childhood immunizations in the catchment area of the health center, identifying barriers to immunization uptake and opportunities for improvement. 3)Emergency Obstetric Care: Assess the readiness and capacity of the health center to provide emergency obstetric care services, including availability of skilled staff, essential supplies, and referral mechanisms for obstetric emergencies. #audit #clinical #plab #nhs #mrcs

«Selecting the appropriate treatment(s) for patients with COVID-19 requires a deep understanding of the evidence and an awareness of the limitations of applying data that have been largely based on immune-naive populations to patients today who most likely have vaccine-derived and/or infection-derived immunity. In this Review, we provide a summary of the clinical manifestations and approaches to caring for adult patients with COVID-19 in the era of vaccine availability and the dominance of the Omicron subvariants, with a focus on the management of COVID-19 in different patient groups, including immunocompromised, pregnant, vaccinated and unvaccinated patients.» https://lnkd.in/dg4n5W5u

Encouragingly, vaccination was observed to attenuate the neuropsychiatric effects of the infection. These results are particularly interesting to clinicians and #healthcare policymakers as they imply that the early management of COVID-19 may help their patients' short- and long-term #mentalhealth. Hysteroscopy is generally a minimally invasive procedure, often performed on an outpatient basis. This means that the recovery time is usually shorter compared to more invasive surgeries, and it typically involves less pain and discomfort.
