ETV is a natural evolution of our family of air launched effects, and we are proud to partner with DIU and the Armament Directorate to bring this capability forward at scale.
The U.S. Air Force Armament Directorate (EB) and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) have partnered to leverage commercial and dual-use solutions for an enterprise test vehicle that demonstrates modularity for subsystem upgrades, and that can serve as a foundation for affordable high-rate production. “We are excited to partner with DIU. The ETV presents an opportunity to leverage promising ideas from industry to create and refine affordable designs for test capabilities that can be produced on a relevant timeline,” said Andrew Hunter, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics. Flight demonstrations for four dual-use technology solutions providers will take place in late summer/fall 2024. Anduril Industries Integrated Solutions for Systems, Inc. (IS4S) Dynetics, Inc. Good luck with low cost. Would have been nice to see Firestorm in the mix. Truly low cost, modular and able to scale quickly.
