🔮 🚀Our 2nd defence technology #prediction2024 relates to #space. Dual-use space assets, those which can be used for both military and civil purposes, have grown in importance throughout 2023. 2024 will be the year we see real progress made on the infrastructure and regulations around dual-use to bring systems online, involving both a technical and process element. The Army ISR Task Force, along with Mr. David Pinckley and LTC John Plitsch of PEO Aviation, traveled to NASIC (National Air and Space Intelligence Center) to receive an overview of current and future technologies to coalesce shared #IntelligenceModernization equities in the #space 🛰 and #aerial domains. Transformation occurs when talented individuals from diverse backgrounds make an effort to break down silos and work towards a common goal. Thank you to our gracious hosts, who gave us a thorough overview of their capabilities and offered unique insights on better aligning future modernization efforts. Together, we can bridge gaps and eliminate silos to achieve #ContinuousTransformation with the joint force and our allied partners. Best practices for space electronic warfare (EW) include understanding the electromagnetic spectrum's role in communication, navigation, and sensor data. It's crucial to master both offensive actions, such as jamming or spoofing, and defensive measures to protect assets. Continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in space EW are essential. For example, as a Defense Technology Innovation Leader, staying informed through courses or certifications on space EW can enhance your strategic planning skills.
Vice President, Space Force & Air Force Client Executive at CACI International Inc & Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of the Space Force Association (SFA)
Space electronic warfare involves manipulating the electromagnetic spectrum, crucial for communication, navigation, and sensor data in space. It encompasses offensive actions like jamming or spoofing to hinder adversaries, alongside defensive measures to protect friendly space assets. Exercises often involve an “aggressor squadron” simulating enemy attempts to disrupt U.S. space systems electronically. Space Force Association

I was unaware. Space Force Conducts Its Biggest Electronic Warfare Exercise Ever By Unshin Lee Harpley; 6 Oct 2023 The Space Force wrapped up its largest-ever exercise focused on electromagnetic warfare, Black Skies 23-3, on Sept. 23, with more than 170 participants. Introduced last year, Black Skies is an electronic warfare-focused evolution of the Space Flag exercises. Organized by Space Training and Readiness Command, it prepares participants to safeguard critical parts of the electromagnetic spectrum, such as those that can disrupt GPS and communication signals. The exercise also allows tactical units to grasp the complexities between operational planning and tasks. https://lnkd.in/gSDZUFp4

What did we learn from the Air & Space Forces Association Warfighters in Action event with Lieutenant General Moore. We learned that the future year programming budget for the United States Air Force is looking at deploying a wide variety of massive capabilities (including the Sentinel missile, the T-7, a new tanker, and the NGAD) and if we want to win the next big fight - we need affordable mass to scale and deploy thousands of aircrafts. The United States Air Force is committed to investing in these programs; however, it can’t fund all of them at the same time and some programs are getting delayed. It’s critical for us that we incorporate the lessons learned from industry, such as Amazon, SpaceX and others, into the way we execute and budget if we want to deploy these capabilities in the next generation. Watch to learn more. For answers to your questions or to learn more, feel free to reach out to Joey Arora @ joey@theoutpost.com.
