Ever watched a project evolve exactly as you envisioned it?
In our line of work, it's rare to see a project stay true to the original strategy.
Usually, once more stakeholders get involved, the vision gets tweaked, but not this time.
We teamed up with Workvivo - by Zoom on "Where Care Meets Connection," and it was pure magic from start to finish.
Our goal was to tackle the huge issue of healthcare worker disengagement with an emotional piece focusing on narrative and feeling, not just products and features, and wow, did it resonate!
From the very beginning, I was deeply involved in crafting the strategy, script, and tagline, and seeing the tagline "Where Care Meets Connection" become an official mantra used by all Workvivo employees.
Safe to say those reactions took me to the moon!
The final montage scene I worked on—"Choose Connection, Choose Community, Choose Collaboration, Choose....."—not only featured in the final video but also became the cornerstone of 30+ short videos, each highlighting different personas with their own "Choose...X" message.
Talk about impact!
Another particularly satisfying aspect was seeing the initial video inspirations, especially for those dynamic UI transition scenes from one screen and persona to another to show connectedness, used in the final cut—and it came out even better than I imagined!
For budding strategists out there, here’s a little insight: Be thoughtful, always on-brief, understand the customer / product / industry deeply, and stick to your creative vision and GO HARD on those initial ideas!
And put in the extra work beyond a standard creative proposal (i had like 5+ moodboards and a detailed visual script / storyboard), because when it clicks - IT CLICKS.
This project was one of those rare moments where everything just clicked.
A huge shoutout to Helen Mulcahy and Anthony Cotter from Workvivo for their creative prowess and collaboration, and for having that keen eye to approve and support our creative vision.
And a big thank you to my Vidico team for their amazing work.
From the stunning Glass Morphism UI Containers, Floating UI perspectives, motion graphics and tracked transitions (Shoutout Weichen W.), to the beautiful colour grading, seamless transition scenes, typography and music (Shoutout Ara Kocharyan), and fab end-to-end project management and producing by Zidd Aziz - their skills brought this vision to life!
Here's to more work that makes a real difference.

While this is focused on the Healthcare vertical, there are lot of frontline (or deskless) workers in Public Sector as well. Thinking about:
✅ Higher ED /K12: cafeteria workers, bus drivers, maintenance staff
✅ Local Government: field workers, community healthcare providers, etc
✅ State Government: I think of all of the great rest areas I have stopped at, DMV workers, law enforcement, state parker workers, etc
✅ Federal Government: postal workers, TSA officers, border agents, VA healthcare workers, FEMA representatives, national park staff, etc
How might helping these workers feel more engaged with the organization improve their retention and contentment?

What are the two most critical factors keeping Allied healthcare workers at their jobs?
1. Empowerment.
2. Flexible schedules.
According to a report by BMC Health Allied health workers ranked empowerment from thorough onboarding and flexible work as the most important and effective for their well-being and likelihood to stay.
Innovative employers have listened.
Mercy Health, for example, introduced "Mercy Works on Demand," a program that allowed full-time, part-time, and other experienced nurses to choose their work schedules. With their new platform, Mercy hired approximately 1,100 "gig nurses," and increased their fill rates by 2%.
Meanwhile, Ford Health brought back 25% of healthcare workers who left by allowing them to choose to work in different settings, like outpatient or inpatient, or only on weekends.
Flexible work at these two institutions led to better outcomes for employees, upping the feeling for the first factor—meaningful work.
What’s your experience with flexible work programs?
As we move towards 2024, the healthcare workforce is expected to undergo significant changes. However, the current workforce is already struggling with clinician burnout and a decline in patient care. Healthcare organizations are taking notice and implementing new strategies to combat these issues.
The top priority for many employers is workforce stabilization. High turnover rates make it difficult to maintain a consistent and reliable workforce. To address this issue, employers must have an effective strategy in place.
Another major challenge is staffing shortages, which contribute to job dissatisfaction and burnout. To mitigate these challenges, many facilities are partnering with schools and utilizing temporary staff, travelers, and per diem clinicians.
Mental health and wellness are also critical concerns. According to a survey by the American Nurses Foundation, 56% of nurses reported experiencing burnout, leading to mental stress and a decline in their physiological well-being. Many employers are implementing protocols such as Code Lavender to address acute or prolonged stress concerns and enhance the quality of life for clinicians.
In conclusion, healthcare organizations are taking proactive steps to address the challenges facing the workforce. By prioritizing workforce stabilization, addressing staffing shortages, and implementing mental health and wellness programs, employers can create a more positive and sustainable work environment for clinicians.
