The Boy Scouts of America Announces New President & CEO
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) announces Roger A. Krone as its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Krone, former Chairman and CEO of Leidos, a $15 billion Fortune 250 government technology solutions firm, will take over for retiring President and CEO Roger C. Mosby.
"Roger Krone has spent his entire career transforming complex businesses and preparing them for what lies ahead,” said Brad Tilden, who serves as the BSA’s National Chair. “His experience, combined with his personal passion for Scouting, will enable him to look at a familiar organization in new ways and find innovative approaches to welcoming more youth into the adventure of Scouting. Our movement could not be more excited to welcome him as our new leader.”
As an Eagle Scout, Krone regularly applied the lessons he learned in Scouting during an engineering and aerospace career spanning more than 45 years. “As a life-long Scout, the opportunity to lead the Scouting movement represents the perfect capstone to a long and fruitful career and a chance to give back,” said Krone. “The program was a big part of my life and the lives of my children. I want to make sure every child has an opportunity to have that same amazing experience.”
The Boy Scouts of America is the nation’s premier program of character development and values-based leadership training, with more than 1 million youth members, including girls and young women. They are served by 460,000 dedicated adult volunteers in local councils across the country. The BSA provides fantastic experiences in the outdoors, and elsewhere, where young people can grow and learn in a safe environment.

2moI went into do some hot yoga at this yoga studio the other day. The old man inside told me that the establishment wasn’t the kinda of place to talk to people. He said that most people just came and went and that if was looking for something else then there were other places that I could go to find that. The issue, I had was frankly, I don’t quite understand what brought about this man’s comments towards me. I found this kinda of unprovoked attuide sounded very unwelcoming. I took the class. Packed jammed full of women, but they did have one 16 year old yoga student in there who was studying to be a yoga instructor. The point is that when ever there are ladies around the men become tools. No one likes a tool. I can speck confidencly, when I say that this CEO and President Roger C. Mosby is definitely a tool!
