Drone Delivery in South Dublin: Medtronic Medical Supplies Supporting Local Hospitals

Wing and Apian are working with Medtronic to provide medical drone delivery services to Blackrock Clinic and St. Vincent’s Private Hospital.

Today, Wing is excited to share that Medtronic, Blackrock Clinic, and St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, working with Wing and Apian, will begin a medical supply drone delivery service in the coming days. We will deliver Medtronic’s ingestible camera, PillCam™, sutures, spinal implants and coronary stents to start. 

Medical drone delivery provides faster, more reliable, and more sustainable medical logistics - allowing providers to focus on their patients. 

Medical services are constantly evolving to meet the highest standards of care. The momentum for medical drone delivery is clear, and global leaders in medical technology, services, and solutions such as Medtronic and innovative hospitals and clinics like Blackrock and St. Vincent’s see the path to integrate drone delivery into their daily operations.

Our joint operations are running Monday through Friday with up to 20 deliveries per day through this year. Wing drones will fly efficient routes at speeds up to 100 km per hour, avoiding traffic congestion on Dublin’s roads.
