Helping Homeless Families

This season the marketing team from Experian Business Information Services volunteered at the Thomas House Family Shelter.

For over 30 years, Thomas House has provided rent-free shelter for homeless families with children. They provide a safe, supportive environment and the resources necessary for homeless families to remain together while empowering them to become independent and self-sufficient.

Our job was to help decorate, put up Christmas trees, sort and store donated items, and generally spread good cheer to all.

85% of Thomas House residents attain full-time employment, compared to only 55% nationwide.

Also, 89% of Thomas House residents move into permanent housing, compared to only 20% nationwide.

After volunteering the team met up at a local pizza shop for a gift exchange, some tasty grub and to celebrate a successful volunteering experience.

It’s all in a day’s work and part of working for a Top Orange County Workplace.
