Infosys Makes a Splash @CSWeek 2024

Of the many years I have been associated with the Utilities Industry, industry forums and conferences have always presented a great opportunity for me to exchange ideas with industry leaders, peers and competitors. Among the industry events that Infosys participates every year, CS Week is one event I look forward to. This year, CSWeek 2024 was no different. I got enriched with knowledge of how Utilities are bringing in digital transformation to enhance customer experience while navigating the complexities of energy transition needs and ever-changing regulatory requirements.

This year, CSWeek2024 was extra special for me. On May 1, Con Edison was honored with the Best CIS Implementation CS Week 2024 Expanding Excellence Award. This was a culmination of more than 6 years of effort involving multiple partners. This was a complex and ambitious program to replace two very old legacy systems in a high-stakes media and regulatory environment in New York City with very complex commercial customer rates and regulatory requirements. All the partners and entire Con Edison organization came together to make the program successful. Program planning and execution teams brought in several innovative approaches in program delivery, stakeholder engagement, solution optimization and efficient digital workforce management to make this successful.  

I am thankful to Con Edison leadership team for giving Infosys the opportunity to play the SI partner role in the program.

In the CS Week session, Infosys and ConEd program leadership shared guiding principles of the program, including the need to demonstrate ‘value along the way’ and register 'quick wins'. The panelists discussed the best practices and key success factors like rigorous parallel billing, detailed operation readiness testing. They also shared key learning experiences from the program in response to audience queries at the lively Q&A session that followed.

Kudos to Con Edison for successfully completing one of the most complex digital transformation program.
