Privatization of Pakistan International Airlines

Privatization of Pakistan International Airlines

I see everyone posting this picture and supporting the privatization of PIA. I support it too but there is a way of doing things and that way doesn't include killing or beating up protesters who are opposing this. Its everyones fundamental right to express their concern.
Now lets look at this picture as people are comparing both these airlines. Turkish airlines has 64 employees per airplane and 67 employees per destination. Now keeping that in mind if we downsize according to the number of airplanes PIA should downsize to 2432 employees and if they downsize according to the destinations then 4489 employees will be left. So basically PIA will have to at least lay off 14511 employees. Thats 14511 families and 14511 more unemployed people. So basically they will obviously protest against this decision and they have the right to do so. Government beating them up or killing them is a barbaric act and they should be charged for denying Pakistani citizens their fundamental right. Also laying these people off might give rise to the the crime rate and also affect the economy as well so the government should do the following things:
1. Come up with a mechanism with the buyers in which this downsizing will be done over a span of 5 or more years.
2. Create more employment opportunities
3. Offer golden handshakes or similar schemes
4. Let them protest and for once in their messed up reign listen to the people and take steps which will be for the betterment of those people.
5. Ensure that the buyer will not only focus on laying off the employees but also on increasing the fleet size as well as number of destinations to minimize the number of people who will be laid off.

People please remember privatizing PIA might make it a better airline but laying off over 14k people will make this country a worse place to live in. Criticism and comments will be appreciated.
