Making a Difference in the World: Engineering integrates safety and mobility into the design of roadways, traffic signals, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). These advancements have already saved countless lives and will continue as new technologies and innovations emerge.

Aha Moment: “I have always aspired to be an architect, inspired by my father's work in the construction industry. My interest in exterior enclosures began with my very first job.”

Fun Fact: She contributed to designing and constructing a home in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward that floats during floods.

Proudest Accomplishment to Date: “I collaborated with the local government and consultants in Lilongwe, Malawi, on the design of the U.S. Embassy. As a veteran, I take great pride in contributing to a project that showcases American expertise and has a profoundly positive impact on a developing country.”

Little-known Tidbit: He completed the 206-mile Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic in a single day.
