Did you know that NCEM has 17 engineers that are members of the NC Urban Search and Rescue Program? Their job is to perform structural assessments during structural collapse or compromise situations to inform first responders on the safest and most effective way to rescue people. Recently, 3 of our Structure Specialists attended the Advanced Structures Specialist Training at the NASA Ames Research Center in California. This training focused on incident scenarios, load testing different shoring equipment, and provided key information that they will bring back to NC. Congratulations to Trevor Winnell, Linnea Linton, and Scott Collins! For more information on the NC Urban Search and Rescue Program, visit https://lnkd.in/eSuqzkqS #ReadyNC #NCSAR
