The VALET Program is a comprehensive, two-year international business acceleration program that provides strategic international business counseling, customized international market research, executive training, reimbursements for export-related expenses, and educational events. We assist both new and experienced exporters enter new international markets. We identify potential new markets, develop market entry strategies and locate possible distributors and representatives for products or services—all at little to no cost. Each quarter, we share updates on U.S. trade policy that can impact Virginia businesses. This quarter: ✔️ The U.S. continues its negotiations with various countries to tighten compliance around sanctions and export controls, with recent negotiations involving the United Kingdom and France. ✔️ The White House is looking to ensure the viability of the critical minerals supply chain, holding discussions with Norway, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines over the last three months. ✔️ U.S. trade negotiators are active in several African nations in attempts to progress on a trade agreement with Kenya. Governor Glenn Youngkin announced that Virginia is ranked No. 1 in the United States for Customized Workforce Training in the 20th annual Business Facilities Rankings Report. This is the second year in a row that the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program has earned top recognition! The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program is a workforce initiative created by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) in collaboration with the Virginia Community College System. The program accelerates new facility startups through the direct delivery of recruitment and training services that are fully customized to a company’s unique products, processes, equipment, standards, and culture.
