The Netherlands-based van conversion company Ventje now offers a new modification of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz, which transforms the electric van into a fully equipped camper for clean-energy, off-grid adventures.

The company calls it the "eVentje," and it is now available for purchase in Europe. It is the closest thing to Volkswagen's California edition of the ID Buzz, which will be released in a few years.

Ventje Transforms Volkswagen ID.Buzz Into a Fully-Equipped Camper

Ventje is now offering a transformed Volkswagen ID.Buzz that features modifications that essentially make it a fully-fledged electric campervan.

Upon the purchase and delivery of 'eVentje,' owners will be delighted with the fully equipped electric campervan, which they can immediately take on an adventure or use as their off-grid home.

Previously, the company offered campervan modifications to other Volkswagen vehicles, particularly the Transporter, centering on the ICE vehicle as its base.

Ventje initially introduced the eVentje in 2023 to showcase its modifications to Volkswagen's latest electric vehicle, taking the experience to clean energy mobility.

Electric Vanlife Achieved: eVentje Now Available in EU

According to The Verge, the eVentje electric campervan is now widely available throughout Europe for orders. It features an indoor and outdoor accessible kitchen with two induction cooktops, a sink, pullout tables, and more.

Its interior can also be converted into a sofa or a bed, but it also offers fixtures that users could assemble into outdoor chairs alongside a folding table. The eVentje also offers a pop-up tent that allows users to stand inside the EV.

The van also features a 2200W inverter and 2160Wh battery that charges from the Volkswagen's driving battery, a 350-watt solar panel, and a mini shore-power outlet on the van's lower backside.

Moreover, everything is kept in place using magnets that also make it easy to access. Ventje said it will give users 233 miles (375 km) of range, with a starting price of 95,000 euros (around $103,000) and a nine-month delivery time upon order.

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz and Van-Living Culture

The iconic pop culture's two-tone color and spacious interior were captured in the ID.Buzz from its roots in the VW Microbus or Kombi, offering a nostalgic experience that does not harm the environment.

However, it was previously clarified that the Volkswagen ID. Buzz, which will be available in the US this year, is not an electric camper van. Instead, it is only an electric van built for the roads. While users may take this to their trusted mechanics and modification shops for any changes, Volkswagen said it is working on the California edition that delivers the camper vehicle.

Volkswagen's ID.Buzz is already available for purchase in Europe and soon in the US. The eVentje is currently the perfect modded e-camper for those looking for one.
