Google's Discover tab, formerly Google Now and Google Feed, will be renamed again, per reports.

Phone Arena reported that sources say that Google Discover will become "Home," preserving its news-sharing feature. Google tipster AssembleDebug made this discovery and shared on X.

The source claimed that Google app developers are also adding a "browse" option. This tab should display pre-defined search phrases. Its purpose is unknown; however, it may offer user-relevant search recommendations.

Experts noted that app users appreciate the consistency and routine in-app interfaces; thus, frequent name changes of the Google feature may confuse them.

Discover Offers Sunrise and Sunset Card 

This update comes days after Google Discover's top carousel unveiled a "Sunrise and Sunset" card, as reported by 9to5 Google.

The new card shows the user's location's dawn and sunset. To manually enable the pencil symbol, swipe left until it appears. Once enabled, the capability syncs between devices. The "Sunrise and Sunset" card joins Air Quality, Finance, Sports, and Weather.

Google tested a "Shopping" card but did not publish it. Google also reversed a modification that made cards larger for data presentation. After that, Google called the carousel "your space."

The "Sunrise and Sunset" card is available for Android and iOS; however, its look varies. When accessible, the card will display at the top of the Google app Discover stream and on the left of the Android home screen.

Google introduced a "Notifications" option to the bottom bar of the Android Google app this week, along with the carousel update.

Google Shares Gemini AI with Opera

In other news, Google linked its Gemini AI with Opera, which recently stated that its Aria AI will gain multimodal capabilities from the model.  TechTimes recently reported that Gemini will temporarily share its AI capabilities with Opera's Aria, focusing on Google's Imagen 2 AI.

Additionally, users may pick which AI technology or model to utilize on their browser, including integrations from the firm, Google, and others. 

In a blog post, Opera announced a collaboration with Google to bring the Gemini AI to its browser and power Aria. This collaboration with Google Cloud will provide a multimodal model that Google claims is its most powerful, focusing on current information and more.

Opera said that Google and their firm had collaborated on the internet for 20 years. Both are expanding their browser with AI-powered improvements. 

Gemini will be available in Opera's multi-LLM Composer AI engine, which will choose the optimal AI model for the user. With the power of Gemini AI, Aria is expected to provide users with the latest experimental breakthroughs in the sector. 

OpenAI's ChatGPT dominated last year's AI revolution, and it has grown into a significant product that integrates various technologies. Kunlun Tech's Opera integrated ChatGPT, allowing users to access numerous features and functionalities on the platform, among other partners. 

In the cybersecurity aspect, Google Chrome users were advised to update their browsers as the US government added a third severe zero-day security threat to its list of current vulnerabilities.

These vulnerabilities affected over 2 billion desktop Chrome users last week. In only 10 days, Google fixed six security problems and published four Chrome security upgrades, per Forbes.
