The 2023-released action-adventure RPG on the Wizarding World, Hogwarts Legacy, is reportedly getting a "director's cut" version from Warner Bros. Games.

That is a new development for the game that will offer a different experience, but recent reports did not reveal these changes, especially as to how much they will deviate from the original story.

In addition to WB Games and Avalanche Software working on this upcoming new edition, rumors said Rocksteady Studios, the developer of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, would join them.

Hogwarts Legacy Director's Cut Is Coming Soon, Rumors Say

Citing a Bloomberg report, ComicBook Gaming revealed that the "director's cut" edition of Hogwarts Legacy is currently in the works and will come out soon. However, there are still few details about it. Aside from being currently under development by the developers, the release date has yet to be revealed.

It is important to note that this may not be DLC, and any future downloadable content for the game is unknown, but this director's cut may expand more on the game's different stories or characters. This information came a few months after the game's first major patch was released, which resolved a range of bugs and performance issues.

Rocksteady Studios to Help in Hogwarts Legacy

Avalanche and WB Games are reportedly working on this director's cut edition of Hogwarts Legacy. However, the report also claimed that it would employ the assistance of Rocksteady Studios for the game.

It is currently unknown why they added Rocksteady for this development, and it was not clarified which specific aspect of the game the Suicide Squad maker will touch. 

Hogwarts Legacy and Its Massive Success

Hogwarts Legacy was initially slated for 2022 but was delayed to 2023 because the developers were still working to polish the game to brilliantly capture the look and feel of the Wizarding World.

That turned out to be a stellar decision for the company because the game received massive praise when it was released and made history for the studio. Despite the mixed reviews, many gamers and Harry Potter franchise fans appreciated what it delivered. Hogwarts Legacy was the biggest launch in WB Games' studio history.

Because of this, the company decided to make Hogwarts Legacy a franchise, already confirming that fans will see sequels coming in the future. WB Games and Avalanche's work on Hogwarts Legacy was great for gamers looking to experience the Wizarding World in a game that includes learning magic from one of the top schools. 

While there is still no word about its sequel or what to expect from it, new leaks behind Hogwarts Legacy suggest the director's cut would expand the game to bring something new and fresh.
