The upcoming remake of the classic game Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater saw a massive unveiling over at the Xbox Game Showcase, and it detailed the new experiences coming with the game, alongside expectations of what it will deliver. Konami's take on the classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a much-awaited title, with the remade game promised for this year.

Massive expectations are already in place for the upcoming remake, especially as it is one of the most popular stories in the franchise. Konami is teasing the latest features of this version.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater: Battle Damage Feature

Following Konami's showcase via Xbox's event, the team is not yet done with announcing what to expect from Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. According to Metal Gear developers via an X post, one of the new game's many improvements is the so-called Battle Damage feature, which makes the stealth action game a more realistic experience.

Metal Gear regarded that the battle damage system "has been upgraded," and it will feature actual bruises and bullet wounds on Snake's body whenever taking damage, as well as clothes getting ripped from the experience.

These indications of battle damage will appear in real-time, says the devs, showing off the more immersive experience for the game.

What to Expect from a New Metal Gear Game?

Despite getting a confirmed release date from GameStop earlier, the retailer clarified the confusion, saying that November 17 would not be the legitimate release date of the game. It was known that GameStop leaked this release date on its preorder post despite Konami not yet announcing any specific dates.

It is unknown when Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will arrive, but it is rumored to arrive in 2025.

Konami's Metal Gear Solid Franchise

The long-running Konami franchise Metal Gear Solid has been revered by fans throughout the years, and its recent 35th-anniversary celebration in 2022 marked its return to the industry. Konami indeed went on a hiatus for its Metal Gear franchise since its last mainline release, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and 2018's Metal Gear Survive, which was poorly received.

Since 2018, its next release was in 2023, five years after the unsuccessful title. Konami offered a trip back to memory lane with the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 release. This collection offers remastered titles from its beginnings, best known as the classic games from the PS1, centering on Metal Gear, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Metal Gear Solid 3's proper remake for modern gaming platforms, offering new experiences, has been teased for several months already. Gamers have been awaiting the release after massive gameplay trailers and features were announced. One of the latest features here is Battle Damage, which brings a more realistic feel for gamers. The game is speculated for a 2025 release.
