Nintendo Revealing New Games for Switch

The latest Nintendo Direct livestream happened on Tuesday. It offered a concise yet content-packed showcase of upcoming games set to arrive on the Switch console throughout 2025.

Although updates were notably absent for anticipated titles, such as "Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed," "Professor Layton and the New World of Steam," and "Pokemon Legends: Z-A," viewers were treated to several unexpected reveals. 

Among the highlights was a thrilling new glimpse of "Metroid Prime 4: Beyond," with a captivating trailer that solidified its release window for 2025 as the standout announcement of the event.

These announcements from Nintendo's Direct livestream promise a diverse lineup of adventures and challenges that will captivate gamers in the coming months.

'Mario and Luigi,' 'Fairy Tail 2,' and More

Announcing the highly anticipated "Mario and Luigi: Brothership," Nintendo Direct started with a glimpse into the upcoming adventure starring the beloved plumbers. 

Scheduled for release on November 7, the game promises an exciting island-hopping journey filled with classic Nintendo charm. It is a charming addition to "The Legend of Zelda" series and the most expansive "Mario Party" game ever.

In another exciting reveal, "Fairy Tail 2," inspired by Hiro Mashima's popular manga, plunges players into the final saga of Natsu and his friends. This action-packed RPG from Koei Tecmo and Gust sets the stage for intense battles against formidable adversaries.

The Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition also took center stage, showcasing a new trailer that unveiled an array of thrilling gameplay modes. With over 150 speedrunning challenges and a competitive Survival Mode, players can compete to climb the leaderboards.

Additionally, Legend Challenges spanning 13 NES classics offer an ultimate test of gaming prowess. "Fantasian: Neo Dimension," the highly anticipated RPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and composer Nobuo Uematsu, is making its way to consoles and PCs after its debut on Apple Arcade. 

This enriched version boasts English and Japanese voiceovers, an added difficulty setting, and a captivating turn-based battle system with unique mechanics. The game, set against over 150 handcrafted dioramas, promises stunning visuals and immersive gameplay.

"Donkey Kong Country Returns HD," a beloved classic initially launched on the Nintendo Wii, is returning to delight fans on the Nintendo Switch. Scheduled for release on January 16, 2025, it includes all the original levels from its debut and additional content from the Nintendo 3DS version.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection brings together beloved arcade favorites like "X-Men: Children of the Atom" and "Marvel Super Heroes," promising an exhilarating experience for arcade and fighting game enthusiasts.

Nintendo also revealed "The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom," a new title where players assume the role of Princess Zelda herself. Launching September 26 on Switch, this fresh installment promises a captivating narrative set in the realm of Hyrule.

Accompanying the game's release is the debut of the Legend of Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch Lite, which features a striking Hyrule Edition design adorned with gold accents and Triforce imagery, offering fans a stylish new way to enjoy their adventures in Hyrule.
