Android users of select models can now reportedly power their devices directly from a power socket by simply toggling the "Pause USB Power Delivery" Option, bypassing its battery.

To enable this technique, users only need to enter the Gaming Hub App, touch the More button, and pick "Game Booster." From there, they can switch on the "Pause USB Power Delivery."

Although the option may seem peculiar, it could increase the lifespan of the device's battery, thereby slowing down the smartphone's deterioration.

Bypass charging allows users to connect their smartphone to a power cord and charge the device without the battery. Essentially, the battery remains inactive, perfect for customers who have their phones plugged in for extended periods and are simply tapping away.

It also generates less heat than typical charging, causing less damage to the battery and other components. The option, however, cannot be utilized all the time because it is only applicable to gaming. Playing games on a smartphone may be more energy-draining because it generates more heat.

It will only work with a power delivery charger that's 25W or greater, and the user will need at least 20 percent battery. 

It is reportedly only available for Flip4 and its later models, Galaxy S22 and newer, Fold4 and newer, A53, A73, M33, A23, and A33 models.

Game Booster Features

The Game Booster feature does more than bypass the battery; it may monitor the game's performance on a Samsung mobile device and automatically adjust settings to optimize playability.  

Game Booster also monitors memory utilization and temperature and makes automated modifications. Users may turn off features such as Samsung's virtual assistant Bixby and conceal alarms to focus on their game.

According to reports, Game Booster is easy to use. Swiping up or left while playing a game allows users to switch between portrait and landscape modes. After that, users must choose the Game Booster icon, which appears as a little gaming controller in the bottom right corner.

The landing page will then display. Players can return to their current game after hitting "Start." Users of the Gaming Hub service may additionally personalize how they use the function.

The user may go to "Game Booster" by touching the "More" option in the upper right corner and selecting "Game Optimization."

This will show a variety of pre-configured options tailored to different user preferences. It also emphasizes the disadvantages of using the feature: Game Booster's excessive battery consumption.

The "Standard" option provides an excellent battery life and game performance mix. However, there is a caution that the "Performance" option, intended to optimize game fun, may use more battery power.

Samsung Battery Update

Samsung has recently reinstated a popular battery setting to millions of Android devices, addressing customer concerns over the new One UI 6 phone's lack of a "since last charge" function on the battery consumption page. 

Previously, users could only see power use information for the latest 24 hours, making it difficult to estimate the device's total battery life correctly. 

Responding to several requests, Samsung has returned the "since last charge" function in the battery menu, a huge improvement for Galaxy device owners. 

The update was made available through the most recent Device Care release for Galaxy smartphones, much to the pleasure of Samsung fans. A notable Android observer, Tarun Vats, revealed the news of the feature's comeback.
