Batman Ninja returns with its second installment, offering a new adventure with familiar foes and friends. The new teaser hints that the Dark Knight will face members of the Yakuza League, such as Aquaman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman.

There is no confirmed release date for "Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League" as it was not unveiled in the 30-second teaser video. As per Gizmodo, Batman and Robin (his son Damian) face up against the evil equivalents of his superpowered allies exclusive to that era.

Interestingly, the Dynamic Duo appears to be in modern-day Japan instead of the feudal Japan of the first movie, and their designs correspond with that. Wonder Woman is a strong warrior, Flash seems to be a ronin, Aquaman is a fisherman, and Green Lantern Jessica Cruz channels her power using an actual lantern.

The teaser implies that the Justice League members have gone evil, leaving it to Batman and Robin to defeat them and change them back to their former selves. 

Notably absent from this group is Superman. Gizmodo states that several narratives featuring Batman versus the League always include the Man of Steel, usually as the main antagonist.

Perhaps WB is avoiding him from being involved in the promotion to prevent him from eclipsing the other Yakuza members and turning this into just another "Batman vs. Superman" tale.

Returning Crew for Batman Ninja 2

According to sources, Warner Bros. Japan debuted the upcoming film during this year's Anime Expo, including official character images for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League. This gave fans their first glimpse at how Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Green Lantern will appear in the movie. 

Jumpei Mizusaki will direct Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League after returning from the original Kamikaze Douga picture. Yugo Kanno once again composed the soundtrack, Takashi Okazaki designed the characters, Kazuki Nakashima, who returned from the first film, wrote the story, and Shinji Takagin assisted with directing. 

Other Justice League Gone Bad Ventures

Justice League Gone Bad continues to be a played-out trope for DC Comics, as evident in the February-released game "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." The looter-shooter game sees Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang, and the rest of Amanda Waller's Task Force X facing Brainiac-controlled members of the league.

Warner Bros. Discover did not find the game to be a profitable endeavor in and of itself because of the game's substantial financial impact upon release. The business declared a $200 million loss after a recent report clarified the various difficulties encountered in the game's production. 

The Suicide Squad game was given to Rocksteady Studios in 2016. Rocksteady Studios is well-known for creating single-player action-adventure games like Batman: Arkham Knight, but making a multiplayer game wasn't easy. 

Many new hires were unaware of the project's multiplayer aspect, which caused a high turnover rate as team members left because the studio was inexperienced with the genre.

Furthermore, Rocksteady's leadership's changing ideas hindered the game's production. After emphasizing melee combat at first, the focus focused on heavy gunplay, which caused even more chaos.

The company found it challenging to make monsters, levels, and battles exciting and less monotonous because live-service games necessitate repeated player revisitation of the same content. The gaming division is in disarray.

In addition, Rocksteady found it challenging to create four distinct playable characters and a large map, which was a significant change from their single-player games earlier in the series. This inexperience caused several delays and difficulties in the development process.
