According to TechCrunch, Bishop explored solutions but opted against integrating with OpenAI's ChatGPT. Concerns regarding processing time, privacy, and potential downtime from a third-party service played a role. Additionally, offloading parsing could limit Pestle's control over improving the response accuracy.
On-device machine learning emerged as the perfect solution. This approach ensures faster processing times while keeping control within Pestle. "The processing itself happens in about one-tenth of a second," Bishop reveals, highlighting the feature's impressive speed.
