Aspen hosts annual Mandela Day activities Aspen’s Mandela Day programme has changed more than 910 000 lives over the last 14 years since its launch in 2011 and has continued to exemplify our ethos of Healthcare. We Care, as we partner with a range of beneficiaries across six continents. This year, we continue our Socio-economic Development (SED) initiatives across more than 40 countries, and we are grateful and humbled to be making an ongoing difference across the territories where we have a business presence. Aspen Malaysia's employees donated essential provisions to Kechara Food Bank in Setapak Jaya. They also collected and repurposed surplus produce to provide meals for the hungry. Since 2016, the Aspen Group Legal team is proud to have partnered annually with the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) on a community project to provide law students with the opportunity to enhance their learning by attending a 4-day Legal Workshop designed for promising final-year law students. Today, we join the global community to celebrate World Environment Day, under the theme “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.” Hold hands with us as we celebrate and take action in creating awareness on land restoration, drought resilience and desertification. With 86% of all life forms dependent on our lands, we must ensure that this precious resource is protected, no effort is too big or too small.
