Can’t believe we’ll be opening our second store in just over 2 weeks. Seems like a dream. Super proud of the team. They’ve been dedicated to bringing our 2025 vision of being Africa’s top beauty retailer to life. Here’s to many more!

What started with an app in 2015, followed by an e-commerce site in 2016 and then a user-friendly platform in 2018, Beauty on TApp is all about bringing the best in local and international skincare, beauty, haircare and self-care products to South African consumers. Our ethos has always been to empower local niche brands and female business owners, with 70% of the brands being woman-owned.  We just got one step closer to our goal of becoming the nation’s biggest beauty e-tailer by 2025 because another new brick-and-mortar store will be opening this month! Making giving back and engaging in social responsibility initiatives a priority not only benefits society but also enhances a brand's reputation and strengthens its connection with consumers, many of whom want to align their spending with their values. Being a South African brand - a country where many people live below the poverty line and have no access to basic needs - we believe that it is our duty to play our small part in helping those who are less fortunate. This is why Pastry Skincare started its Water for Schools Project in collaboration with Kusini Water. For each body wash sold, we'll donate R5 towards the initiative that aims to bring clean water to township and rural schools across the country. Because it's not just about profits but about making a positive impact for the greater good of society while allowing consumers to feel good about their purchases. Over the past two days, our Marketing team joined Hogan Lovells for their wellness day, showcasing our in-house brands, Pastry Skincare and B'Air Skincare. This event allowed us to engage directly with their team, educate them on our skincare products with active ingredients, and gather valuable feedback. The experience gave us positive interactions and highlighted the appeal of our products. Thank you to Hogan Lovells for inviting us!
