The organization was founded in 1968 by Paul R. Ehrlich, Richard Bowers, and Charles Remington in the wake of Ehrlich's best-selling book, The Population Bomb. Hasn't gotten much news coverage or done anything especially notable. Of the few sources cited on this page, several are the group's own website, and I can't find anything much better on Google.
