About the Antitrust Division
The mission of the Antitrust Division is to promote economic competition through enforcing and providing guidance on antitrust laws and principles.
On December 18, 2023, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) jointly released the 2023 Merger Guidelines.
The U.S. filed suit to stop Google from protecting its search and advertising monopolies through a series of exclusionary agreements designed to lock up the primary avenues through which users access search engines. Trial began on September 12, 2023. Trial exhibits and documents are available on the case page.
The Procurement Collusion Strike Force (PCSF) leads a coordinated national response to combat antitrust crimes and related schemes in government procurement, grant, and program funding at all levels of government—Federal, state, and local. The PCSF is comprised of the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, multiple U.S. Attorneys’ Offices around the country, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Inspectors General for multiple Federal agencies.
The Antitrust Division works to protect the rights of victims in the antitrust crimes that it prosecutes. This page provides links to information on victims’ rights and the Division’s Victim-Witness Program.
