Action! 📹 Have you ever seen a mini robot in action? When our Automation & Digitalization division sponsored a project at the Austrian technical school HTBL Bulme Graz Gösting, it wasn’t expecting that! The school’s team “B.Robots Seniors” and coach Peter Frauscher not only delivered unique products but came back from the RoboCup, the European Junior Robotics Championship, as double winners! What a demonstration of know-how, dedication, and talent! 🦾 As part of the competition, robots had to locate “victims” in the form of colored elements and letters with different meanings in a simulated collapsed building and provide them with aid packages completely autonomously. The students designed their robot using CAD software, printed it with a 3D printer, and developed the electronic circuit with a circuit board and the software for the microcontroller board. Visit of the Champions! The double European winners of the RoboCup (Junior European Robotics Championship) recently visited our ANDRITZ headquarters in Graz, Austria. 🤩 The youngsters from the Austrian technical school HTBL Bulme Graz Gösting and coach Peter Frauscher were welcomed by their sponsors, the ANDRITZ Automation & Digitalization team, with Senior Vice President Stephan Keuschnigg-Zingl. Double European Champions from Austria! Austrian technical school “HTBL Bulme Graz Gösting” is the winner of 2 categories of the RoboCup, the European Junior Robotics Championship! The competition took place in June in Hannover, Germany. Europe’s best 140 teams competed in different categories. Coach Peter Frauscher and his team “B.Robots Seniors” (from left to right): Simon Tratter, Tobias Rath, Mark Gottlieb, and coach, fared impressively well against top European teams, and not only won the category “Rescue Maze” but the “Super team challenge” as well!
