About us
How can we feed 10 billion people with the resources of one earth? That's the question that ignited the passions of CSIRO's top scientists and led to the inception of v2food. Looking at over 100 years of research into meat and agriculture, we set out to provide an answer to that question. Our goal? To create a tasty plant-based alternative to animal meat that's better for you, and better for the planet. That was August 2018. For the next six months, we worked day and night to perfect our product using plant-based ingredients and the latest science. By February 2019, we had an answer to the question that started it all. Next, we challenged ourselves in the kitchen to develop the best tasting products ready to delight tastebuds across the country. Exciting news! v2food is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Soulara, Australia's leading plant-based ready-made meals brand. This integration expands our product range and broadens our distribution directly to consumers' homes through e-commerce channels. As consumers look to increase plant-based foods in their diets, the addition of vegetable-based ready meals show just how easy and delicious meat reduction can be. This reinforces our commitment to making accessible and delicious food, enabling consumers to enjoy chef-inspired plant-based meals at home. We have also expanded our portfolio to include MACROS, a fitness-focused, ready-made healthy meals brand. Both Soulara and MACROS will be integrated into v2food under a new entity Flexitarian Meal Solutions (FMS). We’re excited about the endless possibilities this acquisition brings for the brand, its consumers, and the wider community. Watch this space!
