The EU's MiCA regulation sets transparency requirements for crypto asset service providers: They will be obliged to publish sustainability figures for the cryptocurrencies they offer. In view of this, Boerse Stuttgart Group is now expanding its market data offering to include ESG data for cryptocurrencies. The data is calculated and provided by Crypto Risk Metrics as part of a cooperation. We then distribute the data through our existing network of major data providers. Their clients can easily obtain the ESG data through a simple feed extension, which minimizes their internal effort. We are pleased to be the only exchange operator in Europe to have successfully applied for the second wave of Europäische Zentralbank's tests on the settlement of blockchain-based financial transactions against central bank money. We will test to settle exchange transactions of tokenized securities directly between trading participants on the blockchain – within minutes, without a central securities depository and against euros. This innovative, end-to-end delivery-versus-payment process is particularly efficient, enables peer-to-peer settlement and reduces the number of intermediaries and counterparty risks. Our use case clearly reveals the benefits of blockchain and tokenization for the European securities markets – we want to shape the future digital market infrastructure. In the EU, we are taking the first important step with the ECB tests. In Switzerland, we are even further ahead: Our Group’s fully regulated exchange BX Digital for the trading and settlement of tokenized securities is set to launch in the second half of 2024. Since 2019, our Group’s broker EUWAX AG has been the liquidity provider of LuxXPrime, the retail-sized bond trading window of Luxemburg Stock Exchange. It was a pleasure for our Chief Business Officer and CEO of EUWAX AG Dragan Radanović to talk about this successful collaboration at the Stock Exchange Day 2024 in Luxemburg. The discussion with Julie Becker, CEO of Luxembourg Stock Exchange, focused on how Luxemburg can be competitive as a financial centre in the future. Dragan shared his views on how trading can contribute to this goal, what makes a trading venue attractive and how to put retail investors on an equal footing with institutional players in terms of access to attractive investments. What a party for Boerse Stuttgart Group’s Euwax trading segment: We brought the structured securities industry together to celebrate 25 years of Euwax and success in our core business. The founding principles of the Euwax segment have stayed valid since July 1st 1999 – customer focus, service quality, and innovation are still key. And over the years, a lot of people have contributed their ideas and left their mark on the structured securities market, both at the stock exchange and on the issuers’ side. It was a pleasure to meet so many of them at our celebration – since the early days of Euwax, we are a close-knit community. The issuers and we know that by pooling resources, knowledge, and experience, we can create the best offer for our customers together.
