➡️ appliedAI is Europe's largest initiative for the application of trustworthy AI and supports companies in their holistic AI transformation. 
➡️ The cooperation between MCML and appliedAI combines both elements in a profitable way. Companies have the opportunity to contact the MCML or appliedAI directly with their concerns and questions about AI. The next step is to identify a team of appliedAI employees and a suitable MCML team, depending on the inquiry and focus. One of the core missions of us at #mcml is to strengthen relations with industry! At our #MunichAIDay, we had meaningful and significant contributions by Google, DeepScenario, HP, and SE3 Labs. We also had a booth form the baiosphere - the Bavarian AI network. Not only a keynote talk by Federico Tombari from Google on 3D representations, but also booths by the above-mentioned companies. At our flagship event yesterday, the first #Munichaiday, two of our PIs shared some intriguing ideas and gave a glimpse into their research - happening within the baiosphere - 👩🏫 Hinrich Schütze from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München gave innovative insights into his research in Natural Language Processing. He showed how to train LLMs to become successful autodidacts 👩🏽🎓 Humboldt-Professor Stefanie Jegelka from TUM showed how data in form of graphs are becoming more and more successful in many applications, and discussed some recent research questions and results in these directions.🧮 Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst - Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung - Hightech Agenda Bavaria - appliedAI Initiative GmbH

At our first #munichaiday yesterday, we enjoyed research on diverse topics in AI and Machine Learning. Meet our external keynote speakers from academia: Michal Irani from the Weizmann Institute of Science talked about how to reconstruct images that a person saw, directly from his/her fMRI brain recordings 🧠 Mihaela van der Schaar from the University of Cambridge spoke on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can shape the future of medicine and healthcare. 🖥️

#MCML-Director Daniel Cremers and his team have succeeded in generating precise 3D reconstructions of objects using images from only two camera perspectives. With this new method, it is possible to make significant advances in the preservation of historical moments as well as in autonomous driving.
