The term "normal coordinates" also arises in physics in the description of small oscillations...

This article refers to the book Introduction to Smooth Manifolds. I believe his Riemannian Manifolds would be much better, as it discusses the terms in these articles (afair Smooth doesn't?). --pred (talk) 17:53, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
