📢Con una inversión total de 400.000 euros, el departamento de Sostenibilidad de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa y CIDETEC, en colaboración con Naturklima. Climate Change Foundation of Gipuzkoa, van a poner en marcha en el Polígono de Eskuzaitzeta un laboratorio de caracterización de materiales procedentes de las baterías y una microrred energética de última generación. 🤝Esta mañana, José Ignacio Asensio, diputado de Sostenibilidad y presidente de Naturklima, y Javier Rodríguez, director general de CIDETEC, han firmado dos convenios de colaboración entre el departamento de Sostenibilidad de la Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa, Naturklima y CIDETEC. ♻️🔋Por un lado, se pondrá en marcha un laboratorio de Caracterización de Materiales Reciclados procedentes de baterías ya utilizadas. 🚀𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 had the pleasure to meet and have the visit of the partners of the 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬𝟒𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐇𝟐 project. The project just started on the 1st of July and it was nice to start having the first technical discussions and to be able to be together for the first time and get to know each other better. The project aims to develop and validate a set of tools (both equipment and digital tools) to assess the resistance of materials to Hydrogen Embrittlement (HE) in a safe, reliable, reproducible, and cost-effective manner. 💧The project is led by DBVservices, who will develop maintenance procedures for H2 storage and distribution components. The Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon - Institute of Surface Science will develop predictive HE model for several materials used for H2 storage and distribution components. Tecnitest NDT Ingenieros will test Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and equipment for early detection of HE-related defects detection and monitoring and MICROTEST, S.A. is in charge of designing and setting HE testing machine with special features. The German SME Nuromedia GmbH will develop tools to provide data analytics services after project. Meet Beñat! 🌟 A Junior Scientist in the post-mortem and modelling team at CIDETEC Energy Storage. His journey began with a collaboration in 2021 between EHU (Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea) and CIDETEC, where he constructed a battery lifetime predictor model as part of his computer science master thesis within the BIGMAP project. From that start, he has been part of the team addressing machine learning and digitalization challenges related to electrode manufacturing and cell testing. Beñat is actively involved in the technical aspects of WP3 - Process optimisation and modelling. The goal is to utilize machine learning techniques to understand, analyse, and optimize electrode manufacturing steps and cell formation processes based on experimental data from WP4 and WP5. He highlights the incredible collaboration among all partners driving towards a common goal and the unique opportunity to analyze the entire electrode manufacturing chain from formulation to cell formation - from a computer science perspective. His professional fulfilment comes from guiding teammates through understanding processes via data, turning complexity into simplicity. 😊We were delighted to host the kick of meeting of the 𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄 Eurostars project at 𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 facilities. The project is coordinated by Gairesa with Innerspec Technologies, GAITEK INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS SL, ÉireComposites Teo and University College Dublin as partners and 𝐂𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐂 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 as subcontractor. ♻️The main objective of the project is to to develop debonding/rebonding on command adhesives, facilitating the disassembly of components for repairing after manufacturing or dismantling at life-end.
